Gauahar Khan Questions ‘Indian Farmers’ Livelihood Doesn’t Matter?’ While Reminding That Indian Celebs Had Tweeted In Support Of #BlackLivesMatter
The farmers’ protest in India that has been going on for the last few months has now drawn international attention after celebs across the world tweeted about it. International public figures such as Rihanna, Greta Thunberg, Lilly Singh, Amanda Cerny, Jay Sean and others recently tweeted in favour of the farmers. Post this, a lot of people on Twitter came out and talked about how it’s an internal matter and that they are speaking about it without having any information about the same. Now, Bigg Boss 14 toofani senior Gauahar Khan has called out the hypocrisy, and recalled the time when every celebrity tweeted back when George Floyd was murdered in the USA.

Gauahar Khan, who is quite active on Twitter, questioned that when George Floyd was murdered, almost every Indian celebrity tweeted about it and joined the #BlackLivesMatter movement. She said that while that was right, she also questioned whether Indian farmers’ livelihood doesn’t matter to people.  “#blacklivesmatter  ..... oh that was not an Indian matter , but mostly every Indian celebrity tweeted in support . Because obviously All lives should matter ..... but Indian farmers ????? Doesn’t their livelihood matter ?????” read Gauahar Khan’s tweet.

Yesterday, several cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and others as well as Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn, tweeted about #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. They urged people to support an amicable solution, rather than focusing on those creating differences.

Cricketer Irfan Pathan recently shared a cryptic post that appeared to have been indirectly aimed at the celebrities’ #IndiaAgainstPropaganda tweets. He tweeted that when George Floyd was murdered, the people of our country rightly expressed grief.
